A practical guide to routines, cravings and support.
01
Avoid diagnosing yourself from a craving
People often use “sugar addiction” to describe a strong habit or feeling out of control around sweets. This page does not diagnose addiction or claim that an app can treat it. Describe the behavior you want to change in specific terms.
02
Make the routine visible
Record a recurring situation and the choice you make in it. For example: “I buy a sweet drink on the way home.” Then choose one alternative you are willing to try.
- Keep the change specific and realistic.
- Review patterns over time rather than focusing on a perfect streak.
- A missed target does not erase previous progress.
03
Get help when needed
If eating feels out of control, or tracking leads to distress or restriction, speak with a qualified health professional. Sweet Off is a habit-tracking tool, not addiction treatment.
